| Post subject: | What is The Best ANH Vader Parts Available? |
Since I am new on here I thought I would get your guys opinions on what the best ANH Vader costume parts to get. I had a complete suit ages ago but it was a Kathy Pillsbury suit and cloth goods, a modified DP ESB Vader helmet and the chest and shin guards were reported to be from a ESB stunt suit that was bought from a guy in Australia. What do you guys think are my best options for a complete life size Vader? What are the best cloth goods, helmet, armor, cod piece etc? Thank you all in advance for your help! |

Well, there are quite a few options available. It just requires a lot of digging to find the right stuff you want. "The best" is somewhat subjective as there are many factors that plays in - quality, accuracy, cost. Sometimes it is not possible to get the really expensive stuff, but there are "cheaper" solutions that look great, but are not as high end. It all depends on what you can afford and how accurate you want to go. Even the accurate stuff has its pros and cons. Some have great shape, but soft details. Others has sharp details but has a wonky shape. Those sorts of things. For the helmet you'd probably want an SL or eFX or TM. There are others, but those are just the ones I could just think of. The eFX is probably the easiest to obtain, but costs a lot. For the chest armor you should probably be looking for a GH set or an Elstree set. They seem to be the most available of the best armors. For the chest box you'd probably also be looking for a GH or a one-off cast. For cod and shins and belt boxes, leather suits and tunic and capes... I really don't have any leads. As Carsten said, it's very subjective. If you plan to troop in it, I'd suggest a Darth Stone lid. If it's for display only, an SL or EFX. Leather suit, Fenix props on eBay. Cape, Custom Props if you're in a hurry, if you've got years to wait, KevVader. Armor, bookface or Darth Stone. Just read up and know what you want and get info on sellers. Then read again. Then start talking to different makers... |
