If ever there was a company that could produce an all out screen accurate licensed ANH Vader helmet, it would be these guys.

Kinda hoping Disney gives these guys the green light to do it, then add an ESB edition and a ROTJ edition. (beggars being choosers). :lol

Can't imagine what it would cost though. $4500? And I doubt it would be nicer than the EFX limited Vader. Will be interesting to see how this plays out though...

From watching their video clip how they made the TFA Vader, it looked like once they had the basic shape modeled, they overlaid what may have been a color or perhaps a feature layer. Theoretically they could use lots of photo references to determine these digitally and print a helmet not just with the right shape but also with the right textures and colors.

OH! I was thinking $5,000 for such a helmet. Me thinks the Rogue One Vader and Rogue One Stormtrooper helmets will be up next. ...and there's no doubt in my mind the Vader is going to go for $5,000. Or better put, I will be surprised if it is. The Stormtrooper lid, I'm guessing $2,500.

The reason being for those inflated prices? They're the quintessential iconic Star Wars collectible props. And if Boba Fett makes an appearance in Rogue One, add that to the list at $3,000. At the very least, you'll might see his bucket in 2018 with the Han Solo anthology movie.

Bantha
I would say Anovos might have nailed the Kylo Ren helmet with color and texture, though they may have been forced to leave out a few details to allow the Prop Shop to offer the EXACT replica from the movie (comparing the two lids). ...Move over Vader - it's the Kylo Ren comparisons. LOL

The price on these is very high. Way too high, considering there are a few accuracy issues found already. For people looking for accurate props, let's not forget the unlicensed world. There are many places (including right here on PropDen) where can be found superb props, sabers, blasters, helmets and studio scale, more accurate than licensed ones, many made with original parts, and way cheaper than PropShop ones. Agreed it is harder to do a research and read about the props and their makers, about accuracy and details, than just getting your wallet ready to buy a licensed prop. But you might end up with a better product in the end.

Without a doubt, JKNO. Even a newb like me has already been able to tap into the "fan made" world. I love this place that is the Prop Den. :thumbsup

Craigjohn, I would not be so exuberant about Prop Shop.
Their marketing is misleading and their props are not all they should be.
The most important thing to remember is that they weren't as involved in making the originals as much as they would have you believe.

The only thing I see in their line up that they may have actually made for TFA is the bow caster but I actually doubt that

From the very beginning they just seemed to bite over more than they could chew. And their prices were way too high. I'm sorry to see them go, but it just seemed inevitable. Very few in this hobby would pay those prices let alone people outside of the hobby.

Seems to be quite hard for these companies to be in prop replica business. For now we have long defunct Icons (with its own issues) & Master Replicas (the most regretted company in the field), comatose EFX, limbo Anovos, and a freshly dead corpse of PropShop. What a bunch...

Well at least they delivered what they offered. :rolleyes

Maybe they had should act more like efx does.
Announcing new stuff, take money from customers, don't deliver and start from beginning.
That's the key to stay on marked...LOL.
