Yes I did - those pics were done a few years back in 26. I only blu-tacked them (REALLY bad idea) and shortly after they were gone. Theyre probably down the back of a sofa with Lord Lucan and about £100 in loose change. A good mate (and member here) sent me a new set recently and as soon as I got them I did the responsible thing and gave them to my wife for safe keeping Cheers Jez |

ill share! lol. im not to sure on the origins of this helmet..... he states its a CAP face plate used with permission... and the back half is custom built from an APH-6 flight helmet. here is some pics for you Jez. he goes by Dark Agent, hence the DA. he does ATAT helmets too hes from the UK. they are high gloss hips. nice looking lid, just not sure of the thickness or his reputation. |

Hmm... a recaster cannot pass on permission, only the original maker that was recast can. Unless his permission is given, this is just a recast of a recast. Just because the 501st "approves" it, does not mean the prop community does. I don't mean to sound snarky, but it was some dumb move by the 501st to "legitimize" these CAP and ATA and whatever recast helmets they allow. If you get a nice frontal shot, I can add it, but I'm beginning to think, with these lists whether to split the lists into licenses, fanmades and recasts. But it's just way more work than I'm interested in... but adding any pieces is in no way condoning or condemning the piece, just acknowledging its existence. |

If he recast the TK faceplate then even if he did have an APH he must have recast the mohawk, ears etc. Shame really since his finished work on the AT-AT looked quite nice, but in reality he's just showing off someone else's work. Unfortunately, just another name in the oh so long list of recasters. Cheers Jez |

The 501st does not condone recasting and does frown upon it, but cannot not police it. It is not a practical task, considering the number of costumes, the list of recasters, which grows everyday I am sure, and the GML's ability and or knowledge to recognize them. When a costume is presented for membership so long as it passes the Garrison Membership Liasion's inspection according to a set guideline of requirements, membership is granted. The 501st cannot "legitimize" anything really, case in point. Most, licensed "legitiment" costumes, even the Supreme versions fall far short of 501st membership requirements. But, I do agree recasting without permission wrong and those sellers should be avoided. |
