Hello everyone! I'm trying to improve a little my Vader Supreme helmet: this will be just for costuming/halloween/fun, so I don't need perfection or accuracy. I repainted the helmet and changed the lenses, then I cut the mount and now I'm trying to improve the sitting of the dome. I'm a total noob so I don't know what I'm really doing here... Please be gentle, ha ha ha! Thanks for the attention! |

The modifications look pretty good, as well as the paint job. Works well for the RotJ look. |

A new paint job does help the look substantially. My rubies supreme helmet has been regarding me with suspicion lately as I too have been considering making major mods to it. It's got "good bones" as they say, and an accurate helmet is in there just waiting to come out. But it will be major plastic surgery to be sure! Good luck with yours and have fun with it. Will be interested to see how comes along. |

Thanks. Yes I know major mods are needed in the mouth and nose areas... I will try to do my best. |

Any suggestion for a new, quick, easy-to-install mounting system? |

Inverted DP CA T-shape mount inside the dome. |

Yeah, but instead of making it on the face mask, you just create the same shape inside the dome instead. |

Looks pretty good! Darthvaderv authored an older thread, on therpf, which I think is the definitive guide for accurate dome positioning (ESB). Unfortunately in the span of 10+ years, the image links are long gone. http://www.therpf.com/f79/vader-esb-dome-correct-display-16564/ I do recall that one of the pictures he referenced in his discussion was "Bring my shuttle" from ESB. I'd suggest tilting the dome very slightly clockwise (as viewed from the front as pictured), and that would be spot on, to my eye at least. You have the correct side flared more, so maintain that. |

Sure thing! Here's another simple mod to consider. Round off the bottom corners nose with black paint (I used a black marker). I did this to mine and think it looks a lot better. |
