Fans can now look the part of Luke Skywalker with a replica costume of his Bespin outfit from Anovos.LucasfilmYou don't have to join the Rebels, be best friends with a Wookiee or make a doomed deal with an Emperor to get your hands on replicas of costumes worn by Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Darth Vader in "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back."
The official "Star Wars" replica costume collection comes from elite nerd costumier Anovos. It premieres with three outfits -- Luke Skywalker's Bespin uniform (with holster), Han Solo's iconic outfit and, later in the summer, Darth Vader's intimidating garb. Replica costumes range in size from small to XXL and are considered unisex.

"Our new 'Star Wars' collection goes way beyond simple costumes," Anovos CEO Joe Salcedo said in a press release. "They're based on the original costume designs and patterns used in the production of these classic movies."

Pre-sales for these licensed wearable replica costumes begin on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, beginning with the three outfits from "The Empire Strikes Back." Pieces from the collection will premiere during the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo from April 25 to 27.

Later in the year, under the banner of "Kamino Armor Works," Anovos will expand its collection with armor-based costumes, including bounty hunter Jango Fett's outfit and the Clone Trooper suit from "Star Wars" Revenge of the Sith." The company plans to include wearable armor and costume replicas of Stormtroopers, Biker Scouts, Sandtroopers and various Clone Trooper styles.

Anovos has also recreated gear from other sci-fi properties, such as "Star Trek," "Battlestar Galactica," and "Ender's Game." But this marks the first time the company has ventured into a galaxy with Sith Lords, Jedi, Clone Troopers and smugglers who call Wookiees their best friends.

"Entering the 'Star Wars' universe is a dream come true for us," Salcedo said in a press release. "There are no fans more passionate, more excited and more engaged in wearable fandom than 'Star Wars' fans."

Very sceptical regarding the accuracy of these props. To many promises like that were made in the past by different companies.

I'm wondering about a few things regarding the Stormtrooper armor for example:

- what will be the difference in accuracy, materials and other features/options compared to the TK armor released by eFX
- what will be the price compared to eFX Stormie armor (and, why not, other suits of armor)
- how long it will take for Anovos to release their stuff
- what will be this "Vader garb" in the end

What do you think regarding Anovos's ESB Darth Vader helmet? Looks more ROTJ to me based on the dome.

Pretty soft ROTJ cast. The Vader from the pic seems to be a Special edition Promo Vader so it might be based on a 20th Century cast....who know :rolleyes But certainly not ESB.

I'm very curious regarding the price of such a Solo or Skywalker costume. At least these two looks very promising. Dont hope they will cost a fortune.

Anovos already stated that these aren't production prototypes, but items to excite conversation and speculation......

If these are just stand-in pieces to show that they are eventually doing Vader, then I'd be interested in seeing the actual piece, but if this is an indication of what they are going to offer, then honestly, it is hardly high-end, in my opinion.

I asked if they will use original molds for these and they will not. The price for these suits and costumes could be very high, if we compare them with their Star Trek ones.

Any price range regarding Solo or Luke costumes?

Just look on Anovos site for Star Trek costumes for example, this will give you an idea of price. I can say Anovos suits will not be on the lower end of pricing.
