My memory is failing me... I can't believe why I haven't posted this yet... or, if I already have posted it elsewhere on this forum, I'll look equally stupid, but here goes.

I recently bought this... YES... always wanted a Predator bio helmet... it comes with accessories afaik... am really looking forward to receiving it! :thumbsup

That will be pretty cool....I've always wanted one to and have looked at them many times but really need to finish some other stuff first. Nice score for you though. How many projects does this make for you? Maybe my back log isn't so big after all. :lol

This is a kit I bought recently from a guy over at The Hunter's Lair. Really nice casting - leight weight - and nice skin texture and wrinkling.

Can't wait to really go to town with him! :cheers

Neither can I... though, I dread the paintwork that has to be done on this... but once I've gotten settled in to my new apartment and got my workspace sorted... I'll finally get to work on this! :cheers

Wow... if you put the armored mask over face of the Pred, how's it look?

The face is unfortunately a tad too big for the helmet I have... but I'm in the process of acquiring another that should hopefully be a bit larger.

What are you going to use for the dreadlocks?

I had found a guy selling a new style of dreads... but he wound up in the hospital... so now I'm at a loss. Hope the guy gets better as he did great stuff, but can understand if he doesn't continue in the fabricating of accessories, when getting better.

Basically... I'm blank on what to do.

Got a name handed to me on the RPF about dreads, but no longer have the pm. :cry

As I look at these, I wonder if these can be made with the same latex/foam as Twilek lekku. You'd have to simply make one out of clay (which you have the skills for, without a doubt). Then it's a matter of making a mold and getting the right kind of material to cast it.

Here are some tutorial pages:

Molding and casting my own is not an option for me, but I'm sure the tutorials could help others! :thumbsup

Could you craft a dread of the diameter, length and taper that you want out of Sculpey? We could look into having it cast for you.
