Little teaser update. Finished today the "foam protection" or what ever it get called on the neckseal-templete . The battlefield   and the result:      comparsion:   Sorry for the blurry pics will try to made better ones tomorrow. |

Looks great! Other than the shape of the neck, are there differences between the "electronics" of ROTS and ROTJ? |

Thank's Carsten it was realy a pain to find something which has matched the screen used "foam" . Are you think i should change the shape of the neck on mine more, or are you mean that the overall shape of the screen used looks ..well... poor. It's realy that what you see, poor details on the neckseal and more a rush job on the jaw. As i remember the complete collar was made only in a few days. Don Biese build 2 weeks fulltime on the uppermask but had only a few days to make the collar. Probably the parts which are missing on the neckseal are not fall off, they got removed while filming cause it may had hurt Hayden in the neck while he was lying on the table. If you look close you can see two laser cut clamps are still left on the viewer right side of the neckseal. |

Thank's guys.  After a long search i have found someone who is able to laser cut me the neckseal mesh out of plastic for a human price. So i think the neckseal will be the first part which is finished in the next time. Only two parts left than,lol. |

I'll build only the three mask pieces( neckbrace, collar and facemask) without the dome. You can't see through the finished mask, cause the lenses are made out of two different dubble layer materials.Also the pieces inside the facemask would break or hurt your face while wearing. I hope it will become a nice display piece in my collection. |

Some progress on the middle chin part. All parts made from scratch and handcut. Fit perfect on the 1:1 template.  Glued on the template for comparsion, as i think ...it's close.   How it looks in the center.    Of course the parts needs some more sanding and filling. |

Found the correct mesh for the chinpart which fit's very well. Comparsion:    The mesh in the triangle is harder to get . Meanwhile i think they laser cut that out of styrene as the most parts on the movie prop, so these one is the closest do get in size and shape. Comparsion:

Little update. Two times filling and two times sanding. Still need a bit more.But looks better and better after each step.    I have remoulded the tubes cause the cutout was wrong.

Necksealsheet finished and cut out in correct shape. Hole's for the plugs also drilled.     Just need to get painted now and add the foam on the inside to cover the screws. |
