So check this out. Through our newfound friendship here on The Prop Den, we're both making progress.

Not so ugly now, wouldn't you say?

Very nice I see what you mean about the skull. I'll have to work on it some more. I'll take some pics this weekend with the dome on.

Also I like very much the way your neck has turned out.

Just make sure that when you're shaping your neckline that it lays nicely on your armor the way you'd wear it when you're trooping.

Here's a hint: you don't have to match the Don Post neck length. You can add a bit more, then later foam-pad the top. Your eyes might just make it past Vader's lower eyelids, but you'd gain a little bit of height there, probably even an inch!

Hey man I wouldnt be too hard on yourself I think it looks it looks pretty darn fine. Better than I would have made it (I don't do well with things requiring craft + patience) :toothy

Thanks Crow....I'm a little suprised that the patience thing is working out for me to. :toothy

I do really like Mac's vader neck.....I'm glad he posted the pics the way he did or I might have over looked overall shape difference.

T-,

If you line the interior with AquaMend, you can grind the exterior and make the neck more contoured. You could also extend the neck and flare it out later -- thus allowing you to wear your helmet a little higher.

Ahhh...the illusive aquamend.....I think I'd have an easier time finding a white buffalo in my underwear drawer. :toothy

T-Virus... we need more pictures - I need one from the left side of the mask. Found a tiny area that could need your attention, if you don't mind me pointing it out!? :thumbsup

Nah, just the full left side of the mask - similar as you did with the right side. :thumbsup

Alright...go ahead...depress me. Keep in mind I'm just using the primer right now to find spots to fix. They were getting hard to see.

Hmm...

Did you do some rebuild work to the eyebrows and the cheeks?

Why yes I did....I added more material to raise both areas.

Here's me depressing you! The lines are a bit exaggerated, though, so don't let that fool you. Using the DJ helmet as reference.

Basically... much of what you added to the cast is off. You can just hint the original shape of the cheek in the pictures... you basically gotta sand down to that area again.

This is only a suggestion.
