Mhh... well i'm looking fo this tiny part's: I would say they may come from this part here: Called a 7626+Redding-308-Competition-indenter http://lutz-moeller-jagd.de/Munition/Wi ... 281%29.JPG http://lutz-moeller-jagd.de/Munition/Wi ... Setzer.jpg http://lutz-moeller-jagd.de/Munition/Wi ... Hmm... hollow, opened on one side, yet with a "lid" on the outward-facing side. They remind me of ball point pen ink cartridges which are typically brass but that doesn't mean they can't be made out of white metal. |

The "Star Wars- where science meets imagination" exhibition will be in Wichita, KS from May to September next year then moving to Orlando, so if you know anyone from those areas, they might be able to take good pics of those bits. I just checked my photo's from the exhibition, but they're pretty bad. I'd be interested to know what the markings are on the ends. Cheers, Kraig |

No worries Mate. It's just a shame that it's no longer here in Melbourne, I was only inches away from the thing and could've taken high res shots of it... bummer I'm sure a fan will take good shots of that area and post them online eventually. Cheers, Kraig |

Something peripheral - I notice in these shots that the tusks are smaller than the sides tubing of the face. On the MR mask the tusks are the same circumference as the tubing. Hmmm - which is regarded as "more" correct? I'm liking them as smaller. |

Think got the answer . Don Jarr on the RPF : Quote: As you said it looks as if the centre is a hex, which would indicate a countersunk set screw, which might also account for the 'fz' as they often have a spec stamped into them. I would go for alloy tube with countersunk set screw in the end, you just need to work out the size to get to correct screw. I looked again on this pic's and the left one is not 100% in center , so may cause they got glued in.Would made sense. So a simple alloy tube with a glued countersuck set screw glued in.That's all . ?? |
