No need for sorry! I was very curious DVV armor and it looks pretty darn good from this photo! In your post here you are saying they estimate at different sizes but I'd bet they are the same. The DVV photo here looks like a great line up along its left shoulder too but accurate on the right as well. All very good. I will measure at some point. And I hope to mold it at some point too but that will be months out at the soonest. (it took me over a year to just get it scanned even though the "scanners" were ready to go) Maybe a new thread can start up as soon as I get more particulars posted and measure it up. One of the main things is to measure its distances front to back. belloq wrote: Thanks for confirming. Sorry to derail thread. A final point on chest armor: The DVV chest only is about 23" along top width. Don Post/Eller photos against brick wall looks to be about 21" wide but that is a really rough estimate based on standard brick dimensions and perspective. So I guess the DVV and probably yours are not undersized. Sorry again.

Looks great. I know it's not the intended purpose, but I want to see it animated in some way. |

Thanks. I sadly don't know how. I can ask the modeler who did the symmetrical helmet video to do something cool if he has time and wants to do it. I still love looking at that Youtube video he made. A small update: The DJ as well as the rest of the v2 project will hopefully be printed in the early months of next year once all the 3D models have been finished and prepared for printing. Once I've gotten them back and after I've inspected it I will send everything as well as some of the already printed v2 pieces on to the new producer who will mold and cast these for me and make them available. I'm hoping the schedule holds, but delays can happen, but I'm crossing everything I have in order for everything to go well. Expect updates all along the way as this is gearing up for finalization. Armor kits and busts first and then statues later. |

What is a "fuse blob" ? |

It is extra material that is added to an open or hollow model where the rear or inner surface wasn't scanned as well, in order to make it into a solid model you can print. If you want to make the prints look like the original props that were scanned you remove the "blob" and either extrude or add thickness to the model, depending on what tools you have available. |

So cool! I'm no expert but on the ANH- perhaps a bit softer outer edge (folded edge between face and sides,) and slightly more curvature on the sides? |

You mean the main box? I can't alter that unfortunately. I don't have the modeling skill to do it. |

With the new chest box light measurements I reworked the lights on the 3D model. It's even better now. Nothing beats actual measurements over estimating it by eye, and I had made the lights a tad bit too large. That is fixed now. I will work some more on the ANH lights as I also got very good reference showing all angles of the lights. I won't add in all details as it might make it difficult to mold and cast them in that small scale and not rip the molds when taking out the casts, so some of the undercuts won't be as severe as on the real lights. |
