I heard there was one in the back ground. In one of the Star Wars mags I have there is a promo pic from ESB with Vader and 2 Stormtroopers. The one stormtrooper on the right looks like the Hero helmet with 2 extra teeth cut out, bubble lens, grey frown and ESB sticker. Wondering if that same one is in the movie. |

I haven't seen it... but honestly... haven't looked. Wasn't it discussed at one point that the bubble-lensed trooper in that pic could be the one they used to make the RotJ suits from, as it also had the slimmer ears and upside down ab-plate button box detail? |

Remember that there were no "new" TK helmet made for ESB so that helmet is either an ANH Hero that was used in ESB (which even looking at hi-def is hard to nail) However I suppose it could be an ANH Stunt with bubble lenses added. I say this as it does have 4 teeth and off the top of my head cant remember if any Hero's in ANH had 4 teeth. Cheers Jez |

That is with a doubt an ROTJ suit (as we know it). This has been discussed before, and I showed this photo showing ROTJ armour for the ESB promo dating 1980.  It's my belief that they did make new suits for or during ESB either for the actual film or for promotional events (most likely the latter). The helmets feature grey teeth which were only seen in ANH so suggest these suits were for promo's only. A suit can be seen in ESB with the white edging trim on the main body armour so they were at least experimenting with the costume and also the same suit has it's shoulder straps velcro'd on which is how the ROTJ were assembled. I think this is the helmet you are looking for....

'HDPE stormy' (Anthony) is the guy who sent me the pic. We were talking about this helmet quite some time back and that is when he sent the pic to me. |
