Looks nice and if i would have an ESB and JRX version i might be interested. Would be interesting to know for what eFX will offer there helmets. I hope they won't want something about 1500-2500 USD like MR for there ROTS lids |

I'd like to see a decent (accurate) OT helmet. |

I hope they won't want something about 1500-2500 USD like MR for there ROTS lids What we see Ralph McQuarrie holding is .45 scale. While it's possible that they have this as a 3D model where they can scale it from 100% down to 45% scale, I don't think a .45 scale helmet is going to cost more than the MR ROTS. It's perhaps easier to test to market's reaction to their .45 scale, and to see if there is demand for a 1:1 scale. It's amazingly true to the poster art, but my first reaction is that the poster looked distorted and cartoony to begin with. And though the likeness is incredible, and I much prefer the look of the Vader vs. Anakin Starkiller duelling painting. I'm not sure how much respect a costumer would have going to conventions with a helmet like that on his head. |

they dont have the rights too produce .45 scale helmets. and they sad that the helmet will be 1:1 the smaller version is just a test print. the helmet itself is computer modeled. i hope they will over a new ESB version laserscanned or something else. this would be cool. |

Thats right. The offered helmet will be 1:1 scale. As for an OT helmet...i dont think it will happen that a licensed helmet will be as accurate as a highend fanmade one. |

It's too perfect looking. As a result it looks like a toy so I don't particularly dig it too much. Why don't these companies seem to know the money is in the original trilogy helmets - a run of ANH Vader helmets would net them a fortune... As for their concept helmet - the JRX version kicks the EFX firmly in the ass. |

Well I like it - but then I'm biased since I've been giving the guys at efx some help on this helmet. However, I dont think that angle is the most flattering and don't forget thats just a CG model- not a "real" complete fully painted helmet. IMO its going to be a nice collectible since its the first time someone's done a licensed 1:1 concept helmet - and they should be congratulated for doing something different. I dont know what the run-size is going to be but assuming they do some SE's then I'll ceretainly be getting one. Downstream I'm sure efx will have their fill of the standard SW helmets - IMO its just refreshing that theyre doing something different. Oh the their AotC Clone looks superb! Cheers Jez |
