I have absolutely no idea, but I've been marking term papers all day. My brain isn't functioning very well after correcting 200 pages of poorly written stuff. BTW my students call me 'Darth Professor'. I don't know if that's a good thing or not... Maia |

Is there a definitive answer for the amount of sections / degree of sweep for the anh cape? I have seen suggestions from 180degrees to 320! Also how many triangular sections make up the cape? All I know about is the satin lining and the leather trim. thanks |

4 sections for the ANH cape, 100% wool and 180 Degrees. |

Paul, What about the inside lining? Is that 4-panel or 2-panel as well? |

What leather trim? Do you mean the collar? |

Bubba, Shhhhh... don't tell them about the secret leather thong hidden in the cape, otherwise everyone's cape will become more accurate. |

Whatever happened to Maia's posts about the cape and robes? I've looked but I can't find them. |

For some reason I can't get the screen capture on my laptop to work so I am hoping one of you can grab this for me. I need an image of Vader's back from ANH, waist to top of helmet. I'll show you why I need it once I have it. Maia |

Thanks for the pic. It's actually fairly easy to determine cloak size from how it drapes across the back. A friend of mine did her thesis on medieval art and was able to reconstruct the clothing based partially on the draping which was shown in paintings. I went looking for my copy of her work, but it is ... somewhere in a box I haven't unpacked yet. You will have to settle for what I pulled out of the closet and took pics of a few minutes ago instead of her nice photos. : waves hand: You do not see the messy sewing room! The green cloak is 180 degrees in 4 panels. The black one is my ROTJ trooping cloak and is 270 degrees in 6 panels. Number of panels really doesn't matter - how full the cloak is determines how it falls. As you can see the ANH cloak is closest to the 180 draping. Maia Vadermonkey wrote:
