Well I guess its only one or two people then? That guy at Rebelscum got his and at least two other people at TDH said theirs had been changed to "Pending shipment" or something to that effect.

I hope everyone gets these soon!

Hi everyone, I just received my MR Fett SE last week and thought I'd share a few photos with you. This is a very nice piece and the paint job is fantastic for a mass produced item. There has been some talk of the mandibles tapering slightly at the bottom part of the visor, but I still love this bucket.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

The paint job is actually better than I expected. For a mass produced item it is the top of the line, imo! :thumbsup

It seems to me that they toned down the orange splatter that was on some of the prototypes. Good move on MR's part IMO and has a much more subtle effect.

Yes that wasone of the things I recommended as there was too much on the pre-pro.

Its a great helmet - I agree withothers its the best paint job on any "mass" produced helmet Ive ever seen

here's mine

I don't get all the praising MR gets for this - really not ...

I really really liked the prototype pics ... but the finished piece ...

well ... let's put it that way - any "fanmade Helmet" that had the mandibles
tapering THAT BADLY as the MR one would gather dust on the shelves and
not sell a single copy ... yet MR gets sugar blown up their asses for this.

In my mind they totally fucked the whole Helmet up with that disturbing flaw!

- Mass production Paint-Job = GREAT
- Overall finishing Quality = GREAT
- Gadgets (lights and stuff) = GREAT
- Included Display Stand = GREAT
- Screen accurate look = IT MAKES ME WANT TO PUKE

Those Tapered Mandibles ruin the whole Helmet for me ...

Yeas ... you could "fix it" ... with what effort I ask ... don't underestimate
the work you have to put in there including NOT ruining the production
paint, the liner inside the Helmet and so on.
You need to buy a new Visor also ...

Sorry, but as much as I was looking forward to this, as much MR let me
down again with what they have put out there ...

Thanks MR - :putty :putty :putty

I guess I just dont get so upset as you about it :rolleyes

Like just about everyone's said - its a great mass-produced item - light years beyond anything produced previously.

Is it my favourite Fett helmet?

No I've got my Steve the Swede painted MSH that sits in that position - and it always will do.

But the MR is in my view excellent, a shame they messed up the tapering but overal I really like it. For £250-£300 it was a steal.

Cheers

Well, I guess I'm so upset about it because I was really looking forward
to get that one ... when I saw the Prototype I was all excited, but AGAIN
MR totally disapointed me with the finished item ... :pale

It IS a great "Mass-production" item ... but it could have been so much
better if they had only paid attention to that stupid detail that (for me)
throws off the whole look of the Helmet ... :grumpy

That's why they (AGAIN) won't earn a Dollar from me ... sorry MR

Yes, I agree the taper in the visor still bugs me but otherwise I think the rest of the helmet is quite good. I will probably modify mine some day to fix the taper problem if possible.
As far as Fett helmets go, even with the taper I think it is still one the more accurate helmets available, if that problem can be adjusted then i think it could be very accurate.
For the life of me I still can't figure out how MR could screw that up so badly. In the pictures of the prototype there is little if no taper at all. What the hell happened between the prototype stage and the production model, I don't know.
It's hard to say if that flaw was intentional or not but it seems like all the helmets people are receiving have it, too bad.
MR should also have shown what the helmet was going to actually look like before they started taking pre-orders on it. A bit of false advertising on their part with regard to the final look of the piece I would say.

When they have a fixed amount of helmets they should stop with all that pre-ordering crap and give everyone a fighting chance to get one when the product is released and everyone knows what the hell the final product looks like.

You only do pre-orders if you don't know if it's a sure seller, just to check what interest levels are... doing it on a fixed run... sounds awfully lame to me.

Got mine today.

Yeah, the visor tapering sucks, but almost everything else about it makes up for it to me. Feels nice and solid. The padding on the inside is quite comfy. Of course the paint job is well done too.

Believe it or not, one of the few complaints I have is the stench! The smell is so strong I can't get too close to the thing without getting light headed.

Overall, for $410 shipped I'm very happy.
