Anyone have any more info about this. I assume from the recent hose thread that this is in the offing. Joe |

The way it sounded to me was that the hose info was for his own helmet, not a run. |

If you're looking for something that is current and available, Dan Laws has a TIE Pilot based on a T*E faceplate. http://thepropden.aokforums.com/my-laws-tie-vt623.html Hope this helps. |

And with special permission from T*E, so it's not an unauthorized copy. |

That's how I read it also. |

And some of the helmets! I bought a TIE helmet and Armour from TE a few years back and Dan supplied it. I think its a kind of team effort. If Gino's making a TIE helmet then I'm sure he'll make a few "spares" which would probably go on sale. Until then IMO the SDS is the most accurate. Shame about the mohawk Cheers Jez |

The Laws one looks very good to me, still I agree with Jez, I also prefer the SDS Tie Helmet , It really has the look. |

Gimmie a frigging break T*E Actually I dont think that everything AA makes is the most accurate, but I think his TIE is. Having had an original TIE in my posession for a long period of time taught me much about the original helmets. Even with the inaccurate mohawk I still think the SDS is the most accurate TIE I have seen. The problem with your/the Laws helmet (of which I have 2) is that IMO its face reflects the idiosyncracies of the HDPE helmet it derived from and is therefore too "thin" - more Stunt than Hero, which in my view the original TIE's display. Because of this your/the Laws helmet does not look quite right to me. However you're welcome to your own opinions. Cheers Jez |

You have the old version.. Understandable. The new one is dead on. I spent two weeks with the TIE helmet too an the AA is way off. But again, you can have your opinion as well. The angle f the nose ridge is too far off on AA's helmet to be accurate. T*E |
