Yeah, I haven't had time to upload those to Imageshack and replace the links yet. I'll see about exchanging your picture with the previous one once I get the ANHs uploaded. :thumbsup

Great thread this! Very informative, this is where I first saw the TM and started my search for ESB perfection!
It would also be good to see the same for the different versions of the reveal helmet, exposed in all of its glory. I read on the site that several are working on producing the shells etc. Also thers a great photo of the Natty15 on Jez's site. I also did a search a while ago and saw that a company called something like "custom ###" did a run of 20. Ssulky might be able to add further info as it looks as if he's pretty knowledgable. (G'day mark!)
Cheers mick

This is great thread.

Is someone making a great ROTJ-Dome in ABS or lightweight material?I wanna make a magnetic seal for my reveal and I think thick fiberglas is too heavy and dangerous for the lot of glued parts on the top.

There was one who was making vac-formed domes. Can't remember who though. Hopefully he'll chime in on the forum.

Darth Ugly ROTJ (fiberglass) will be out soon. It weighs in at 1.4kg, or 3lbs as opposed to, say, a Don Post Deluxe which weighs 6-8 lbs. or thereabouts. Of course, any additions that you might add such as fans, voice changers, etc. will add to the total weight, but it's a pretty light weight helmet.

If you need something lighter, consider modifying a Rubie's Supreme helmet.

Thanks for the tips and the links. This Ugly ESB looks really good. And the best is...it comes from europe. No fear with the customs for me. :toothy
But I think a ROTJ helmet would be nicer next to my revealmask.Do you have pics of his ROTJ-version?

I have 3 Rubies Supreme in my basement, but I hate the middleline of the dome.I need to remove it and build a new one.Has somebody done this yet?

We should take this conversation to another thread if it gets any longer, but real quick:

1. Ugly ROTJ is under development and will be unveiled soon.

2. Mid strip modification has been done. Check the Works in Progress forum. It's not a pretty/easy mod.

i know this thread has been up for some time. but i was wondering if the helmets that are displayed on the first page instead of having them in alphabetical order. could they all be put in order to how close each helmet is in linage to the film used lid? that way when people (like me) will know which ones have a more direct or closer linage to the film used helmet.
just a thought/idea. :)

Pretty difficult cause all of these helmets have its pro's and con's.....so its generally hard to say which one is closer to the real deal. One has the better face, another one the better dome. One has better and more surface details the other one has a more accurate shape....so its hard to tell which is better and which is not.

I have thought of many alternative ways to set up the list, but always go back to the default alphabetical order as that raises less controversy and wouldn't be based on my opinion on where a particular helmet fits.

The rest of the forums' discussions deal with the various helmets and their lineage... this list is not intended as such... it's just to show what is there.

But I appreciate the suggestion! :thumbsup

And please don't hesitate to bring other ideas forward. You never know, there may be one or two or more that is actually a better way to do things! :thumbsup
