I just get here, and people want to see my pics. So here are some of the best pics I have.

I still need more accurate gloves, and I need to adjust the padding in my helmet to sit just a touch higher.

These pics were taken after a couple hours of trooping. But I'm really really happy with this suit.

If anyone has questions about the outfit, I'll be pleased to answer.

Hey Shalamar...how well does the cool vest work? I had my vader on once for about 6hrs it was around 60 dgrs or so outside.

It was great to finally wear it but next to my first marriage it was the worst exp. of my life....thought I was going to die. :lol

It works well, and is good for a couple hours. After which it wears out.

I've done the 6 hours. Yes, it was.. painful. :)

Is it like an UnderArmor or is it like a Cooling Vest at:

http://www.coolbandanas.com/vests/coolingvests.htm

http://www.abledata.com/abledata.cfm?pa ... &top=14971

http://store.coolvest.com/merchant2/mer ... _Code=RCVC

(Basically a vest with pockets that contain cooling pads that you stick in the freezer)

I wear underarmor under the costume, A cool vest (Like the ones to the links you posted) on my chest, and the costume goes on over that. It really does help.

But it doesn't help too much if one is in 80 degree+ weather. Its still a big black outfit. But If I'm going somewhere where I have a chance to 'recharge' the vest, I will. Takes about 20 minutes in ice water for the 'ice packs' to recharge themselves.

And NEVER use real ice packs, or freezer packs. You'll give yourself frostbite!

Though I keep toying with the idea of seeing if I can use the belt boxes on the belt to run pumps to circulate water through the leather suit itself. use the water in small hoses (Strung through the ribbing of vaders outfit) to suck heat away from my body, and cool it. Maybe a radiator at the back of the belt...

Thanks. If I could actually do a true cooling solution, I would, but finding something more 'workable' is tricky. Some hardware could be hidden by the cape, but that could also restrict airflow, limiting the ability for a 'radiator'.

LOL... when you say radiator I get this picture of a big clunky thing worn on your back under your robes... LOL, sorry... just had to say it... :lol

Yeah... cooling is definitely a must for long troopings, I'd imagine. :thumbsup

Cooling is a must. The first couiple troops I did were nightmareish. No cooling, and it was warm out. Now, I wear the cool vest to every event I go to.. Even if its cold out!

No offense to the person on the left, but there's always an FX around to ruin a picture. :lol

Interesting challenge... but as I'm a helmet guy I have no clue on the other parts, let alone who the maker is. The only thing looking familiar are the gloves, but can't remember the name or nick of the maker... sorry! :lol
