I could probably make a killing selling casts from this, but that is not for me. Even though it was never produced, I just can't justify it to myself to mold the pieces to sell, not even mold it to just make one fully finished for myself. They will remain untouched, unmolded, and will be displayed proudly alongside the Kaiyodo vinyl kit.

I respect that, and I just meant make a single copy for myself to make a completed figure, not for sale, but just knowing the value is nice in itself. Plus I think it is different than a full sized prop replica because it would be so much easier for someone to take a sold copy and make bootlegs. But I think keeping the parts as is in their original form just like, for example, original TK suit parts, is very commendable.

That being said, if you ever get tired of them let me know and maybe I'll make you an offer. :lol But my dream is still to have one of the finished Marmit Vaders. *sigh* too many other spending priorities at this point :dope

Yeah, I understand the thought of molding it to be able to make a complete figure from it, but I don't have the skills and I won't ship out the pieces to have it done, as that could result in more castings or the pieces getting lost in transit. It could be nice, though, to cannibalize the second Kaiyodo body and fit the Marmit cast pieces to that one in case that molding was done, but it's doubtful at this time.

Currently, I'll create either a metal rig or sculpt a fancy display rack for the pieces, with either posts or shelves to place the pieces on, maybe in a stair like design - it may be difficult to visualize what I'm talking about, but the thought was for as little as the display rack to be visible, so it looks like the parts are just floating. Or something.

The chest armor is the early prototype style without the raised mid strip at the center front and without the two U shaped depressions on the two bars next to the raised center bar.

The whole lot is really cool and neat. Still can't believe I got these.

If you have any photo requests I'd be glad to oblige.

Yes I have a photo request. You know how we sometimes see TK armor laid out on the floor arranged in the same way one would wear it? It would be cool to see the parts laid out in the same kind of costume arrangment.

Also it would be cool to see the mask/dome alone from front/side/back views.

Wow thanks so much Carsten. I cannot believe how GOOD the mask is. Even when looking from the top down on the face, there is that correct asymmetry. The side view showing the curvature of the neck coming down from the chin, really nice. Thanks again.

Yes, the sculptor certainly captured a lot of things right, which makes me think he may have had actual props as reference. Or good pictures of the accurate pieces. Would be interesting to know what he used as reference to get things this right on some of the parts.

I recently got the Marmit Stormie and the AT-AT Driver and I'm simply amazed at the details these guys put in these old figures. The Stormie is very accurate and with minimal futzing you can have the best scaled Stormie, SS and Medi versions would be nothing compared to it. As for the AT-AT Driver/Pilot, Marmit guys even got the gray color on the armor, and we know about the gray helmet not long ago. They must have had some insight knowledge. Wish they made this Vader, it would have been the best out there with all its stunning details.

Anyone interested in Marmit prototypes, there is a AT-AT driver up for auction on eBay right now from the same guy I bought my Vader prototype parts from.

How much did this sold for? Was it finished or unpainted?
