If i had the possibility i would ask the following

-were they rigid or flexible ?
-heard they got filled up with PU-foam to hold the shape, can this be confirmed ?
-were they made out of rubber or out of plastic ?
-where the found those hoses (also if the orginal supplier is no longer available)
-did they had a coil inside or not ?

...so far my list.
Feel free to add more questions.

I'd add: what is the exact diameter of the hose.

Don't complicate it guys. Most of these answers can all be found out easily through study. Finding the hose is hard, knowing what to look for isnt.

If you still have some 100% correct answers to the questions above, feel free to share those with us.
Otherwise they could be answered from a source who know it for sure (and not from guys who "heard or believe" as it was) all in just two words or one sentence.
Should not be that complicated.

1 1/4"
Rubber.
Wire helix.

These are the facts. Take it or leave it.
I just never realized there was a question about these particular aspects.

As I said Finding them is the challenge. There are lots of people who know what to look for.

I remember those. Close looking for sure but not the right stuff.
I think your hose is too large in diameter as well? Is it 1 1/2" or larger even?

Take it or leave it... why so bearish?
We have a normal discussion here, you begin to act like a snappish wiseacre .....again as i all other discussion in that board here before.

If those are the facts, would you mind to share the source as well? :thumbsup
So is there anything you could introduce to that?
You had could ask some of your well known sources in the meanwhile.

Edit:
Btw. 1 1/4 Inch is way to small. That's the same size as the "Targ" hoses have. And those are definitv to small in diameter.
The screen used have min. 1 1/2 Inch.
So your well known proofed facts seem to be wrong.

Those hoses look right to me in diameter, just depends on the lighting.
Will take a set or two! :salut

I said take it or leave it because of people like you who ask for facts and then ignore them when they are offered.
That doesn't really put me in a sharing mood..
I'm not trying to be shitty but my attitude is a direct result of that sort of response.
You think the RBJ hose looks good enough for you? Then go get it. Be content. It is on of the closest finds you will get. I suspect it is larger than the original and also not made of rubber but thermoplastic which he heats up and stretches to make it look more like the original.
And I'm sorry if that sounds like I'm being shitty to RBJ but those are just the facts about his hose as I recall from the RPF several years ago.

Me neither man. Turrican and I have had these types of frustrating discussions before. He is a very contrary type. I suppose I should try to do better.

So yeah you asked, I answered. Anything else you want to know that will likely be ignored?
