Hi guys! just wanted to share with you the latest adjustments and additions to my Vader display. However this display ( although its already gone through many) is about to go through some major changes soon and will hopefully be finished before the end of the year.

Feel free to comment and let me know what you think, or ask if you have any questions.

Here are some shots with slightly different lighting:

The proportions are a huge selling point with this figure so kudos there. Looks great!

Very nice Juan. Looking forward to seeing the end result. Only word of advice on the robe is you need the pleats to go towards the chestbox, not away from it. The folds are facing away, they need to roll towards the chestbox. Keep it up! :thumbsup

Thanks! Yeah I knew about that, but these robes just came in last week. I'm gonna have my local seamstress fix that and a few other details.

Here are some better shots with a DSLR. Its crazy how a slight change of distance and angle makes this helmet look so different.

Looks great generally, my only observation would be the widows peak looks too deep, too long (pointed) to be ESB or ROTJ.

But looks great none the less.

Btw, it's good to be back :)

Life has been cruel, but 2016 is a new year :)

Looks great so far. What parts you use for your display?

Thanks! Good observation on the dome. The helmet is actually a JMC faceplate with a SPFX spare dome I have. The JMC is great helmet but the one issue I have with it is the dome. I feel like the wearers left side of the dome was overworked and it makes 3/4 angles look a bit off. Specially towards the back where you can see that very subtle vertical curve. As for the SPFX dome, the most noticeable flaw is that widowspeak is a bit long (or deep) and I think its due to it deriving from a ANH style dome.

Either way here is a few more shots with the full JMC helmet. I think both domes have their pros and their cons, however the two of them look great on this faceplate.

( Oh and I'm trying to beef up the mannequin to look a bit more muscular, but I think thats gonna be a bit tough until I get the leather suit to properly adjust everything.)

Actually, the way the body is now is very RotJ. Don't change it.

The JMC dome looks great, very ESB (my favourite SW movie).

And that paint job is absolutely beautiful.

Congratulations Juan.
