Hey fellas - :)

I've never really shown this one before, but it IS in fact kind of a Prop, too.

This is my Drumkit ... a TAMA Artstar II Custom Kit made for Lars Ulrich,
the Drummer of METALLICA - :)

This is an "Original" - it is one of only six Original ever made. I was very
lucky to get that somewhere in the early 90's ... VERY LUCKY ....

You could buy "Replicas" of this Kit from TAMA back then, but those where
different in details :rolleyes

Here are a few Pics:

I know nothing about drum kits, but that looks like a great display all by itself :thumbsup

Sweet kit but Lars Ulrich is a crapy drummer IMO

:lol :lol :lol :lol ... yes - he's not the "tightest", but got a lot of energy ...

I'm not a Metallica "fan" - I got this Kit by a big coincidence, and it was
great value for the money back then - still sounds bombastic, even by
todays standards.

Although the TAMA Kit is really great, it's not my "Dream-Kit" ...

This one is it ... what a MONSTER ...

this is a Chromed Ludwig Chikara Custom Kit for Eric Carr (R.I.P)

Eric Carr was the 2nd drummer for KISS, and sadly died on cancer a few
years ago - :( ...

This Kit was used on a part of the Crazy Nights Tour ...

What an awesome kit man, Metallica is one of my favoutrite bands. But why did Lars not use Jildjian symbols, surely they are the best?????

Lars Ulrich does use "Zyldjian" - Only my "Kit" (the Drums) is the Ulrich Kit.
The hardware are the TAMA "Stilt" snap system and as for the cymbals ...
I just like the sound of the "Paiste Signature Line" Cymbals better -

Nice JRX, I was wondering about that kit in the background of some picture the other day.

Do you play?

I had the chance to work for Metallica when they were in Seattle a couple years back, my job was to set up the after show party tent and drink red bulls all night till they were done and then tear it down. It was the loudest concert I've ever been to and the most bare breasts I have ever seen in one place also!!

I have it standing in one corner of my office, so it happens to appear in the
background of some pics from time to time -

I started when I was 4 years old, but I've been a bit "lazy" the past 2 years
due to the job ... :rolleyes

Cool - :) - I met Lars in a café in Kopenhagen loooong years ago. He was
very nice back then and we talked a while, but nowadays he seems to
have become a real Asshead (another victim of fame I'd say ... sigh ...)

Well... there are limits! :blah

The rules of aokforums prevents us from being completely without censorship. Younglings may sign up... and get shocked when their mothers spy on them and go bonkers.
