Not so crazy as it sounds. I heard that at one stage in its development lifecycle that there was a stormtrooper face which utilised "the heating duct (or grill) from a Morris Minor"

Now Ive wandered around a couple of car parks looking for an indication of what could have existed, and spoken to some MM experts and drawn a blank

Any car enthousiasts out there have any idea what part this could have been??? - I'm presuming its the heating grill

Cheers

Jez

Jez,

http://www.morrisminor.uk.com/

Here is a visual catalog of parts. You might find what you're looking for in there.

You might call them and show them a photo of the grill. It may be that you have to do a Google search for the same brand parts -- but parts of cars of that specific era.

It's like people who somehow still manage to get parts for a 1969 Mustang 5.0 GT. They obviously don't make those cars anymore, yet restorers are able to somehow get a hold of historical parts. I'm not a car person but such resources do exist when such cars are in demand.

Hi Gary,

There is - I caontacted acouple of guys and sent them pics - but despite their knowledge they couldnt think of anything on a MM that resenbled a frown. The only thing we could think of was whether they took some grill from a MM and then cut it up, bent it etc. to form the frown

I'm not sure who made this "prototype" Stormtrooper head as it could either have been Nick Pemberton (who was the middle man in the LFL-AA relationship) or maybe someone at Elstree - However Brian Muir (Vader) said that it wasnt him and didnt know of anyone else (including Liz Moore (3po))

Cheers

Jez
