Hi fellas,

I thought I'd share a little post on my last test piece of trying to pin down the hero neckseals.

it's a "revised edition" very different from my old style.

Image

my rough version.

Image

different light
Image

it's more bendy & very lightweight.

Image

open to critique.

ps the material itself if off it's a test piece, however sceen acurate ain't leather either afaik.

I'll get some pics with armour on for better comparison, as soon as I get time.

It looks okay, but I am not sure about the two thin ribs on the neck. Are these intentional?

To be fair, neck seals are probably the last thing of interest to me about Stromtroopers, so I can't really comment on them. And being a hero too, they are my least favourite style, so I am affraid I cannot be of much help with any constructive criticism.

I keep getting redirected away from the forum, anyone else has that?

Thanks guy's.

@ Paul, fair comments :salut

Yes & no on the thin rib's! they wound up where they should'nt, which is next to fat number 7! in the stylyish of Han neckpiece, so they are drarfed more than they should be if next to "say 4 & 9" if that makes sence?.

I do want other ppl's eye's on this as I've been working on a revised edition for the last few week's I'm going blind to the thing & want someone else's perspective. :thumbsup

So the more the merrier, I won't be happy unless it's near as cannon as I can get it.

this one pictured was always destined for the bin.

I like how this looks. I have in no way studied the troopers in much detail, let alone the soft parts. However, what I do see is that there's no seam ribbing showing at the top of the seal, which makes me assume that the bent the fabric down on itself at the top, when doing the ribs, so the seam gets hidden on the inside of the seal. Is that just a crazy thought?

Nope not crazy,

it's a very point, I agree that on the originals it's not on show but I did fall into the trap of when I used to make the last version for other ppl & being ppl want things to be comfortable & tidy, thats the reason it's visible but somthing I can work on during the assembly afterall this is something for me really.

I do have some fantastic material getting shipped in that looks canon but it's coming from India & cost's a king's ransom & want to nail this before I chop & slash something expensive & I figured if I was going to make a last version I wanted it to be as seen on screen.

Would be greatfull for any more suggestions?

then I can get on with painting & strapping other stuff.

Hi Fellas,

Thanks to all thats posted but this is the last bump for any one else to have their say on how this can be improved in your honest opinion, no offence ever taken by me, no matter how brutal you want to be, I'm asking for it aferall :lol

The expensive material arrives in three days depending on xmas post & depending on dimensions I could make 8-10 canon neckseals at cost but need critisism to get the best one before I make any unwanted hindsite cuts.

anyone? even new eyes sometimes see more than old ones do.

more screen caps

still strapping the armour for better comparision pics of my stuff so far,

Thanks, I think the new-new edition Hero look even better & I'm two three days off "maybe more" depeding on work, from finishing the strapping on the armour to get some decent pic's taken.

if you have good pic's of the background trooper "better than the ones already been up for public consumption" I'll give it a go, but I've never been sold on the dive suit idea TBH but retain the right to be wrong.
