Excellent! I love a good DP Deluxe and that's a nice low number
I've been following them on eBay for a few years now and they do sell but not very quickly. The final auction prices seem to have settled into the neighborhood of $400-$475 for a double-digit numbered helmet in great condition. The listings usually start with an asking price of $600-$800 then they relist the helmet again and again and again until it comes back down. There are also a few that I have seen relisted a number of times and haven't sold but they are higher numbered helmets in the 700's.
I paid $343 shipped for DPD #79 earlier this year but one of the tusks on it is busted. I bought it because I wanted another DPD and it needed some tlc.
Has anything been done to the helmet -- metal tusks added, lenses replaced, anything like that? I don't think those sorts of things affect the overall value unless someone is trying to find an untouched helmet.
