e-FX kindly sent me one of their new Stormtrooper helmets today so I took a few shots this evening - along with with some comparison shots against MR's equivalent helmet.

Nice new stand and plaque

Insides are also the same - it also comes with 2 sets of lenses (smoke grey and green)

So ignoring the peripheral things like stand & plaque, this is almost exactly the same as the MR apart from a better defined Vocoder and cleaner mouth (which I think is still hand-painted - just this time by sober people).

There may be an itsy-bitsy difference in the shade of white (less blue in it which is not a bad thing) but you'd really have to have them straight in front of you with a magnifying glass to tell. Its produced out of a different factory (again in China) so that may have had some effect.

Like the MR its a well-made, quality collectible - and for those who missed out on the MR helmet last year I am sure this will be very well received. More pics on my site, with updates when the weather's better.

Cheers

Jez

That's nice looking. Seems to me to be the same helmet.

Good luck to those who get one! :thumbsup

It is essentially the same helmet. I do however like the new style display stand, plaque etc, very tasteful and classy. The tube stripes on the MR look thicker too.

I thought so too.

Thanks for the pics. If I had the extra cash, I'd get one. :)

Great shots thanks Jez. It does nothing for me, bring on the accurate helmets :protest

If there is a difference with the tube stripes then its miniscule - both have stripes that are a little too fat (and dark) - but overall its a great helmet, certainly so when you consider its licensed with all the baggage that goes with that.

Ive updated the page adding a few review and more comparison shots

Cheers

Jez
