Just sharing a few pics before it goes. Definatly this month!! My fencing mask and robes are standing in for the pics. So here's what we have...

Image

Image
*I made this suit for display. Most everything is permanatly mounted so that it will only assemble one way, that way it will look good on the dummy.

Image

Image
*I made this leather vest with the correct spacing and the seam found on the real suit.

Image
*I obviously went for the stunt belt.

Image

Image
*I just got done sewing these an hour ago, correct ESB pants.

Image
*I took 2" off these GT gloves....not 100% ESB but looks really good as far as length.

Image
*accurate 4 straps on the shins.

Image
*my super duper capehook made from a paperclip.

Image
*I'm really happy with the wear on the cod.

This helmet is freakin' amazing. Is it actually molded off of the prop or something? It looks eerilie movie-like!

Thank you everyone...its really encouraging to get your input before I go and I appreciate it very much!

CS MacLaren,

No, in fact it is slightly narrower than the movie prop and needs some modifications in areas....I am working on a type II for this helmet. I am holding out untill I see under the real ones dome at the mounting ring etc.

Also the center strip needs to be straightened a little as it gets bigger towards the eyes. If you look at the pic I started the process but have not finished it. Also the real helmet is a little more narrow than this one which I used a DPD as my basis.

Still, the dome of the real mask is nearly as wide on the center strip as the DPD. (refer to my pics on Jez's site http://starwarshelmets.com/)

.....thats just an interesting little factoid. I have studied this helmet the most since it is up the street from where I work.

As for the type II, I also sent this faceplate to GH and he had alot of good input for improvements so those will be incorporated. So my thanks to him as well.

Monkey,

Just call me Mac.

Regarding the setup, it's awesome.

I've seen umpteen people setup mannequins and life-sized Vader setups, but this is one of very few that looks like an actual prop. In fact, it looks like it stepped out of a MOM exhibit.
