Hi SWC,

Great collection.

I actually got my SFS helmet in the post today and have waited for a long time. I have to say it really was worth the wait and I am pleasantly surprised at how good it is.

People had complained about seeing a join line but the one I got is seemless. I didn't get a pre-painted one I just got a raw casting that has been primered. No mic tipes either but as I say I just got the kit.

It is a solid piece of lid. I might get my digital calipers out and compare a few dimensions on my other TE helmets to see if there is any real size difference but having two helmets in hand they look very similar scale wise.

Just got to get it painted so Set for Fun

I will possibly post photos but it will be in another thread as I don't want to detract fromyour thread SWC.

Congratulations on a great purchase.

Anybody got any good hi res pics of the original 'set for stun' helmet?

Cheers Chris.

Thanks Chris and congratulations to you too, it's a great helmet! :thumbsup

It's been a looooong wait, but it's worth it.

I've studied mine under different light sources but I didn't detect any seems either.

This thread isn't mine; it's there to discuss the SFS helmet in general (not just mine), so please feel free to post your (progress) pics in this thread.

Cheers,
Leo

Were the teeh holes not very squared off? I've been told the original SFS helmet looked that way but I think it makes it look unfinished.

No, not at all.
