Please re-read my original statement. I am simply saying that with a variety of makes of Vaders having similarities to the GH design, it's nice to see a facemask that looks more like the screen-used props. I view this statue as a "newcomer" even though it may have been around for a short while.

While on the subject of "original style" and "GH style".... I've always found it funny that the "GH ROTJ" facemask looks much more like the ANH face than the "GH ANH" face does. If you get what I mean. As usual, just my opinion.

Can you reference a picture? That would be helpful. Thanks!

Here's a Photoshop enhancement of the statue's helmet.

Personally, I think it looks quite nice! But I can imagine the tremendous let-down I'd feel if I saw a statue looking like this, and beneath it were boxes of these plastic "Rubies Supreme Vader" helmets and then being taken aback by the huge difference between them.

I think when you say GH you are (or should be) referring to the GH "ROTJ". There are a lot of similarities between the GH ROTJ (which I own) and the Rubies statue helmet, there has been some discussion about the true source of the GH ROTJ, I'd like more info on this.

And I agree, the GH ROTJ has very accurate facial features than his ANH offering. My only critisism is the GH ROTJ's dome flare. I love my GH ROTJ helmet. It would be interesting to combine the GH ROTJ face (with modified lower mouth triangle) and GH ANH dome :)

I can supply pic's of my GH ROTJ if anyone's interested. I also have some photo's of the Rubies statue helmet. I could forward these to a fellow member to post on my behalf for comparisons. Lmk.

Please do, and again -- not to be a broken record to the Den -- but I'd be grateful for pics taken from 6-feet back and zoomed in tight to reduce perspective distortion.

So there's a GhostHost ROTJ and a GhostHost ANH? Or was it originally a ROTJ then converted to an ANH? Or are his ROTJ and ANH two different looking masks beyond the obvious size differences in chin triangles?

Will do.

The GH ANH and GH ROTJ are completely different castings in every feature, the only thing they have in common is that GH produced them :)

Fatherless One, I would love to see pictures of your GH ROTJ face! Do you have any kind of ANH (even if not GH based) dome you could combine it with? In any case, seeing more pics of it would be great. There can never be too many, or too large.... :toothy

It's nice to know someone who actually owns one, feels the same way I do.

THAT is a VERY beautiful looking ROTJ ... and that's the GH ROTJ ???

It looks so much better without paint on it :lol :lol :lol

Funny, but it looks a lot like the Elstree ROTJ
(sans the stupid fat lower lip sadly added on at least my Elstree)

... makes me want to strip the paint off my Elstree - :lol :lol :lol

... or maybe even buy one of those above ... :rolleyes

I agree. I love that look. It's very different than what is out there. However, JRX, your Elstree ROTJ is a real nice lid also. Also, I don't own a GH ROTJ. I had those pics, but can't remember where I got them from. If the owner wants them removed, let me know.

It is rare to see pictures of the GH RotJ... and it really looks like a nice helmet, that's for sure! :thumbsup

Pic's on the way Darth Karo, btw the ROTJ you've posted is Gino's ROTJ. Gino's ROTJ is not actually from GH (according to Gino) but from the illusive "Jeff" who supplied the ROTJ to GH in the first place.

The Elstree ROTJ and GH ROTJ are different beasts completely. I think the Elstree's neck looks to have been shortened too (as well as the fat lip added).
