But maybe Sideshow will bring out an ANH Vader in their PF line. Perhaps they will do it better than by their first Vader. Their statues will be better and better. Look at the new PF Boba Fett. Great statue i think. But it would be great if GG bring out an accurate ANH Vader too

What Marmit and now SS has against them, imo, is the action figure look - the real cloth and articulation does nothing for me: I'm a sculpture kinda guy... fixed pose, etc.

If SS gets it right... not just the armor, but also the look of the soft-parts - not making it look bulky and crappy like on their other figures - then I may be happy... but basically... if they get the armor right, then I wouldn't care about the rest as that is easily discarded or improved.

This is the pose I'm rooting for:

Nice pic, nice pose. I think it would be really nice to have a vader pose without lightsaber action. He is looking more powerful without.

I really like the ROTS Vader mini bust. I was actually quite surprised by how much I like it.
I guess I'm just not nit-picky enough (not saying that you are) to notice most of the differences between the costumes. I'm only just finding out that the Sandtrooper armor is somewhat different than the stormtrooper, by reading a couple of threads on RPF (I'm glad I've not gotten into stormtrooper armor yet, as I don't know enough about it), and the only difference in the Vader costumes that I thought there were was the lights on the chest and belt boxes.

I'm 2+ years into studying and collecting large size props and I don't know everything... and that's just the Vader helmet... am basically oblivious to most of the other parts of Vader - though do know most of the most common differences.

There is nothing wrong with liking the RotS bust... it's a cool bust, no doubt about that... just not my cup of tea, as I'm more of an OT guy! :lol

Vader is definitely difficult to assemble as there are so many tiny details to be aware of... and 4 different versions of basically the same costume... and the accuracy bug always strikes all who try to get a Vader together!

See, and they all look the same to me. Really, it all looks the same to me. I can tell a difference when lights are different colors, but even looking at a couple of the reference pics here, I couldn't see a difference between the ROTS and ESB helmet. Maybe once I start working seriously on a TIE Pilot uniform I'll be able to start seeing differences.

Well... ignorance is bliss... :lol

Here is a little picture showing some of the most obvious differences between the ANH and ESB Vader - as far as I'm concerned, the biggest change happened between ANH and ESB... the rest are "pretty" much of the same look - purists, don't kill me.

The RotS Vader is a mess, imo... having features from all three movies, but mostly from RotJ - which chronologically does not make sense, but Lucas doesn't care about such petty things or he would have paid more attention. The worst thing about the RotS helmet is not only the way they made it symmetrical, but that they used an RotJ helmet as the base of reference... poor form! :grumpy

Well, that's a much more helpful picture. I can see some differences now. Wait, which one is which?

I can see the dome height difference - not sure which I like better.
The one has much more obvious gunmetal highlights - which I really like.
The inner robe going over the chest piece (whatever it's called) versus under it.
The chest box is obviously quite different, as are the belt boxes.
Thanks for the info!

I've been told the only things symmetrical are the nose/mouth, cheeks and eyes. The rest of the face mask and dome are a-symmetrical.

Oh... didn't know that. It definitely looks mighty symmetrical all-round to me.

Everybody should post in this topic... so that they'd really know that there is a lot of interest in an ANH Vader statue or bust:
