Here's some pics of an original on my site, and in these imo it looks silver. However we dont know whether it could have been touched up at a later date.







imo I could imagine they usedthe same paint as the vader as it's the "easy" answer, but its just a gut feeling.

btw the lenses look very green which suggests either they were replaced or there's a white balance issue.

It's hard to tell from those pics, but my GUESS would be grey. Silver would reflect too much light IMO.
