I have an ocean of samples over here. Two might be "close" but does anyone have a source on 100% wool twill for this thing?

No sheen.

Thinking 13oz - 14oz depending.

The wool used on the film capes isn't a twill. There is no visible weave pattern. It resembles felt. Its the heavy wool tipically used for winter coats. Its heavy and thick.

This is the Rubies cape next to my KevVader. I think its a felted wool which is woven fabric made into a felt. When I think of twill I picture material with weave lines.

Just to clarify as I see the subject is getting a bit mixed up. The wool twill Jones is talking about was used on modern Vader ( ROTS). The wool felt like fabric is accurate to OT Vaders.

I think this type of fabric is sometimes referred to as wool "melton", which might be a helpful search term in your quest.
