Hi guys...been following all the recent tk builds and I'm utterly inspired by the awesome work you have all shown. One question I have is this. Are most of you using the correct humbol paints..or are there acceptable alternatives out there.

I have already tracked down the humbrol paint...but was just wondering what other types of paints some of you may be using. I don't plan to use any decals for my lid...want to hand paint the details myself...so any imput would be great.

Thanks for looking...and thank you for the great info already shared in the many builds I've read. :as2

Some people use the humbrol paints, but testor's makes a gray that is very close. It's testor's gray 1138 :eek .

I personally used the humbrol paints, #5 for the grey, #21 black and #22 for the white. All gloss colours. I think if your going for the original look you may as well use the same colours.

I think the testers grey is a little light but thats just my opinion.

I used the Testors 1138 on my AP, for what it's worth...
