Hi guys!

Very nice forum here, really!

I´m looking for the best way to fix the Dome and the neckbrace @ my Don Post Vader helmet ( vinyl Classic).
The Dome should not been blown away ( by wind or something) and the neckbrace should be changed by myself ( in Armor).

Someone here some pix???

Thanks!!!

We need some photos of your current setup and your dome mounting system. Is this an original or a modified recast of a Don Post Deluxe?

Are you using Velcro?

It is the Don Post on the right.

On the left is my Rubies helmet. Mod still in process.

I'm very confused. The unresolved link you posted takes me to a picture of a redhaired girl.

So are you trying to make the Rubie's more like a DPCA? I don't follow.

Rubie's more like a DPCA? No.

I´m still looking for a good way to fix my Dome/ Neckbrace @ my DP Mask.

By the way: Is there someone who can tell me what kind of glue can I take for my new lensen???

Personally, I don't like mixing techniques for fiberglass/resin with plastic or vinyl. Plastic is a very different animal. It doesn't sand very well. Some people would rather a fiberglass cast instead and do the dome work. That is exactly what I had: with the Golden Armor kit at:

http://thepropden.aokforums.com/goldena ... vt433.html

I did an eradication of the mounting system and a baldification of the skull using an epoxy clay called Aquamend which is a fiberglass repair compound. However, as much as Aquamend may stick to certain plastics, plastic will outflex it and eventually you will lose the weld. I wouldn't advise harming the plastic.

In fact, original condition Don Post Classic Action helmets are not easy to find nowadays.
