I, like many others, have been bulding a lifesize ANH Vader over the past few years.
It is pretty much complete but I have never been entirely happy with the mannequin that I originally used. It wasn't tall enough to start with, and the pose was a bit girly looking.
I have been eying off a new mannequin from a model shop for some time but could never come to an agreement on price with the owner.
Finally I snapped last week and decided to take a few peices of my vader down to see how it all sat on him.
He is 6 foot 6 so it looks huge and the pose is very similar to the rubies statue.
I think it works well and in person was very intimidating.
Was hoping for some feedback and opinions
Mike

Looking good.

The pose is cool, perhaps he could use a bit of bulking up but def better than what most people use (Vader with static arms).

I'd say go for it.

Looks great......the one next to him apparently likes it too;)

So did you buy it? I would and then like HDPE said, bulk it up....slightly, maybe just fill out the arms and torso a little.

Keep us posted!

Thats looking pretty cool. Replace the light saber with the Atlantian sword and he will be ready to take on Thulsa Doom. :lol :lol

I have 5 mannequins and hate them all....gonna have to start cutting and chopping, and make one look the way I want.

It looks fantastic...

... yet strangely unsettling to see Vader wearing a pair of red Speedos! :toothy

Ha ha, I never even noticed that while I was in the shop but when I saw the photos I had a laugh.

I told him to go ahead and make me one so it will be ready in about a week. The only reason I held off for so long is that he wanted $500AU for it and you can get alot cheaper imports from Asia.
It surprised me how well everything fit on it. Even the faceplate was a snug fit and needed no packing to make sit right.
The body will need a bit of padding. All the really good vader displays get the bulkiness spot on and it makes a massive difference.

Anyway, once I get it home and get him loaded up, I will post some pics.
