I was gonna make something else and then I decided to paint tis ANH style to practice for my next helmet. Here is a shot. It is my fencing kit mask. I added the neck back in with an ANH vent and painted it. Seen here with a JB ESB helmet. Better pics when I finish it this weekend.

It might be because you photographed it close that the dome looks small. Could you stand back about 5 feet, zoom in, and rephotograph it? I'd love to see the re-photographed proportions.

This shot looks better, but the dome looks small. What was your photographing distance?

Could you try standing back 8 feet and zooming in?

The facemask looks superb!

I am probably about 3 feet from the helmet. Problem is, I have a cheap digital camera that doesnt have a zoom feature.

Yeah, the dome is hard.....it looks better in person, but I cant get it from the pics. You are right though......something seems off.

These pics look Ok size wise.....

So here it is, enhanced.

Nice!!! (Your helmet, not the image). Now THAT is what I'm talking about! Very nice proportions there, which you wouldn't see due to the perspective distortion from photographing it too closely.

I'm upping my minimum distance to 5 feet....

What's the origin of the helmet?

I really like what you have done

however I think the dome is now a little too dull - maybe shine it up a little?

Cheers

Jez
