Ever notice the plane at the beginning of Raiders having the I.D: "OB CPO"? ...I think that was it, anyway...

The really obvious inside joke in TOD that I never noticed until a few years ago was that the Englishman that runs up to Indy and Willy Scott as they approach the Ford Tri-motor airplane and explains that they'll be sharing the ride with a load of poultry was played by Dan Aykroyd!

Don't how I missed that one for all those years!

I guess it isn't much of an inside joke per se other than Spielberg sort of "self referencing" using an interesting actor for a cameo and that Aykroyd was in "1941".
