Ok - I've now gotten to a point with my GH armor where I decided that
I reall need to get rid of the "old paint" on it ...

I scraped some off, and there is avery thick layer of paint and filler on it ...

I CAN'T put it in a "tub" with Turpentine or something - no place / fumes ...

Sanding would take much too long and could damage the Armor ...

So I need to know if there is some stuff I can "rubb on" and "rubb off"
again that would take down all that stuff without damaging the Fiberglass ...

So ... HELP - What is out there I could use ???

Thanks and Cheers,

Jesper

Don't know what you have available in Germany, but there's some stuff called E-Z Off oven cleaner that you spray on. It's pretty caustic, so I'd try a test area first. There is also varnish/paint stripper available in spray cans that is pretty good.

I tried Danish oven cleaner on my helmet - no effect. I also tried paint remover - though, not in a spray, but something I had to paint on - but it will damage the resin and fiberglass.

The only thing I tried that didn't damage either the resin or fiberglass but stripped paint was brake fluid. Though, it didn't work so well on the primer for some reason... but you can use it to remove the bulk of the paint, etc. and then use something stronger for the remaining areas, unless it's able to take it all.
