well I was fortunate enough to pick up wannab's HDPE T*E bucket over on the FISD...a deal I could not pass up. So, I now have both an AP and a wonderful T*E in the mail on their way. Wow, I never enjoyed being this broke before!!!

If anyone can lead me the best threads on painting HDPE, I'd appreciate it. I don't plan on finishing the bucket any time soon, but you can never do too much research...

Well, you'll probably need special primer and paint that has a lot of flex in it and is designed for plastics such as HDPE - ask at your local auto store.

Not sure if you read the thread on the RPF, there were a few suggestions on how to paint it in that one...

LOL thanks guys! I am REAALLLYY happy. I didn't plan on getting it, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to own the HDPE when Doug put it up for sale. I consider myself very fortunate. I think I'm just gonna sit and stare at it for a while =).

It is fascinating looking at them all side by side, isn't it? I hope to do my own comparison pics soon.

Armando I bookmarked your build thread and will no doubt have questions when I get around to starting...
S

I'm so glad it went to a good home!
You're lucky I hadn't already painted it, I never would have let it go after finishing it like my other TE's.

I'll be selling my SDS lids next (1:1 R2 needs funds). I guess I need to buy kits from now on, kind of like model building, buying prebuilt just isn't the same as building and painting yourself.

I was wondering what different painting techniques are people using for the TE HDPE helmets?
