Thanks very much guys, I really appreciate it!

In all honesty, I'm a member of many forums and this is the only one that still does "Happy Birthday" threads for it's members and it's something that is special and gives you a bit of a thrill when you see it.

Anyway, being in OZ it's still my birthday for another 8 hours, so you're not late at all Darth Noib and even if it was tomorrow, it's the wishes that count and kind of extends the nice feeling you get when people can be bothered to just post up a reply.

Well, the day's been good so far. I had the day off, my wife took a day off work and my daughter's on school holidays now until Feb, so I had a full, but lazy day. After lunch we decided to play some cards, it was nice and warm (27C) so we went to sit out in the shade. One of our local wild parrots has taken a shine to us, we call him Guido (Guido Rodriguez Esteban III, to be exact as he looks like some parrots on an old Corona beer advert I have and Guido's a good latin name) so he joined us too.

As soon as I got up to take the photo, Wendy and Kristy jumped up and stood out of picture, that's why Tarjyn the dog is looking at them with a dog version of WTF?

Thanks again guys, it's appreciated very much!

Cheers,

Kraig

Edited to add- Actually I think Guido's giving them the WTF look too...lol.

Thanks Dave, much appreciated! :cheers Yeah, it's been a great day, normally I'm climbing the walls when I'm not doing something productive, but I'm oddly relaxed today.

My best mate who moved back to his home town of Ingolstadt (about 45-55min north of Munich, where the AUDI factory is) was telling me when we chatted on the phone that it was nice and warm while we were in the middle of winter...lol. I was looking forward to giving it back to him when we hit summer, but he's back here at the moment trying to organise for his fiance to come to Aus, so I missed my chance :disg :lol

Cheers,

Kraig

Sounds like a great day. And yeah... it's full on snow outside - maneuverable, but still snow. We have snow in December... we NEVER have snow all throughout December, but we've had it from day 1. Snow in December is what I remember from when I was a kid living in a coastal city... but never really where I live now. Snow in December is really special and I'm in Christmasy mood all the time. WEIRD.

Cool picture... and yeah... they both have the "WTF are you crazy people doing, we're being photographed and immortalized" look on their faces. :thumbsup

Thanks Man!

I could imagine how cool it is to have a white Christmas Carsten, I'd love to have one at least once in my life, for someone who’s never experienced one, it looks almost magical. One of the Aussie travel shows did one in Lapland recently. that looked awesome. Also, you may get to see the aurora borealis, that would be a bonus.

Actually just going to Europe would blow my mind. My daughter’s doing a tour with her school in March and the sights they’re going to see blows my mind.

Thanks again for the best wishes everyone!

Cheers,

Kraig

Well even with the time difference I think I'm a wee bit belated on this one. :lol

But that doesn't diminish the heartfelt Happy Birthday I'd like to send your way, Kraig. :happy-b-day

Hope you had a few extra on us :alcoholic :alcoholic

All the best,

Thomas

PS and being originally from the Great White North I've experienced quite a few very white and bitterly cold winters, but I've enjoyed every one of them....

Thanks very much Thomas, I really appreciate it!

I certainly did have a few extra beverages, I pulled up surprising well the next day though... I didn't expect that.

Thanks again my friend :cheers

Cheers,

Kraig
