I found this helmet today and was wanting to get an idea on how accurate it would be if I re-paint it. Im thinking that since its official, then it will be pretty close.

If this one is just pure crap or not at all worth the money, then can someone point me to another one, or even a good kit.
Thanks for looking.

That looks like a Rubies plastic helmet... pretty much the same as the Don Post Standard helmet. Pretty crap really. You will not find an accurate licensed stormtrooper helmet - only thing available is fan-made.

Depending on the level of accuracy you are going for there are a few choices:

TE is for the über-accurate (TE2 is pretty much the same, but with a few extra flaws). The TE is pricy, pretty thin but sharp features, and getting harder to come by.

AP is made of strong ABS plastic, check out this thread for more info: http://www.aokforums.com/thepropden/thepropden-about490.html - would pretty much recommend this to anyone, as it is a great kit.

Oh, and btw: Welcome to The Den! :cheers

Looks RotJ to me. AFAIK the only ones produced by Rubies are ANH.

I sent TD 8733 a PM about the AP helmets and for prices. Hopefully he'll get back to me so that I can get one.
Are there any other sources online that you know of?
Thanks for the help.

depends on how much $$ you want to spend...and if you intend to actually "troop" in the thing. plan on spending at least $300USD to get a halfway decent screen accurate helmet. on ebay you can search for "anh stormtrooper helmet" for starters....

I would wait to see if TD 8733 gets back to you its much better to buy a kit they really aren't difficult to build and a lot less than you will pay for a built one on ebay.
