Well I just put my first ever piece of trooper armour together , only a calf but I kinda feel pleased, and I only swore 18 times but it has taken bleedin two weeks and I have still yet to paint and weather it.........

It may be helpful to put the entirety of the armor together first before painting it. In that way you can ensure that the look of the weathering will be consistent across the entire costume, rather than each part having a different look.

I know of an easy way of weathering - all natural and real. Get the armor finished... put it on... stand in the lawn and have someone throw dirt and sand at you.

Now THAT is natural weathering.
