Here's another example, from starwarshelmets.com, of a look similar to the initial Hoth invasion vader. In this case a CKing dome (a DP DLX) is fitted to a 20th century faceplate. This also is a case where the internal mounting rings do not fit together and may in fact be sitting on top of each other, the result being a higher dome and increasing the faceplate tilt forward so that whats-left-of-the-widows-peak falls in the typical location relative to the nose bridge.
