Nice. Hope they chime in at some point. I am considering finding a vendor to make a custom ANH suit and possibly gloves in lambskin. Fenix Props is not quite accurate enough and his prices are edging upward.

WOW! Looks like Vader wandered off the screen and into your living room. :toothy

...and dammit! I love that dome. That's the weakest link on mine.

Short question cause of the weathering.
Did you use grinding paper or paint for the "defects" on the dome?

It's the lights and actual dome. it's literally painted gloss black with a hint of dulling spray.
I didn't match any shots, so when I come do to that I'd probably put more dulling spray on.

The edges are a mix of paint and sand paper.

Cool thanks for the info :thumbsup
Used as well a high gloss black and after working with matt paste and very fine grinding pad's.
Gives also a very nice effect while playing with the light.

Would love to see yours turrican, perhaps start a thread of your stuff like jnko did. From your threads over time, it sounds like you have some very cool stuff!

Two last shots until I change the mannequin to an upgrade. I've not picked this project up other than a couple of tweaks, so a bit to do still.
More to come on this...

Looks fantastic. What type of mannequin will you use? Custom?

Thanks man! Yes. Main requirements is the movement as the display is too static as it is.

Indeed; I think custom is the only way because of the large size and body shape required, and the ability to pose really brings a figure to life. My plan is to heavily customize an off-the-shelf mannequin with armature joints in the arms and fingers and neck.
