This project has been arround for a while on other Forums so I won't boar you with the 399 pics of the whole thing. I will instead just post what I have been working on up to now.

This is just the master cast that has undergone much reworking and tweaking. When finnished I will pull copies of it.

It is based opon the KOTO Vader VS Luke figure and is in 1:1 scale allthough not exact, but close to the figure.

LOL, yeah, that was funny. Great support you got there! :cheers

Looking better every time I see it. Still think you should do something about the upper eye-lids... though, don't think I've mentioned anything about that.

Oh... on the mask... but not as much the eyelid edge, but more the slope of the inner eyelid... or perhaps you haven't worked on that area yet?

Oh that, :lol

90% of that area will be cut away when the lenses go into the casted pieces. It just looks deep right now because there really is no need for that extra materail but to hold the casting materail in place.

I just thought it looked odd angled down so much - I would probably have made the inner eyelid more level, so you can't see it from the front. Not sure if I'm explaining this properly.

I think that I understand what you are getting at. I will give it some thought.

Would it be possibly to post a side view of your facemask at the current progress, then I may be able to show it more clearly. Wouldn't want to be the cause of misunderstandings here, as that would just be awful with such sculpt and progress.

Well, must admit... easier to imagine it now... just looked odd before. Not sure there's be any need for much correction there anyway... and the dome peak will provide that angry look. Nice. :thumbsup

That will be one scary looking Vader. I think if Vader looked like that in 77 I'da hid behind my seat. :lol

I hid behind my seat with the Muir sculpt... however, for ep3 it could have been nostalgic cool to have a McQuarrie sculpt rather than the butchered Muir version. So many great designs just not used at all...
