Is there a maker out there that offers a helmet with lineage back to the 20th Century helmet?
Other than Stone? His are great but with his back orders it doesn't appear that it gets better in trying to acquire one of those.

I believe CFO offers a 20th C... could be mistaken - you should contact Sskunky for that.

Or was it RS Props that had and offered one!? Heck, sorry man... I'm so out of the loop these days, I can't remember who has what.

Thanks! It's hard being a lid junkie. Always keeps one wanting the next piece, lol.

Correct Carsten. RS Props offers copies of their 20th Century but not officially on their site and i still doubt that its an original ...differs in look to the DS 20th century.

CfO bought the DS 20th Century a few years ago and plans to offer casts of it. At least thats what Mark told me but he can certainly chime in a give some news regarding this project.

Knowing that RS made casts of the Zib alu MG-34 for their DLT-19, I can see their 20th Century not being an original. Mark's 20th Century would be cool to have someday though.

What are y'all feelings on the JMC helmet?

I had a JMC helmet and I have to say they are the sharpest cleanest helmet I've ever owned. However this means its not hyper-accurate with all the dents, bumps and imperfections of the screen used helmet. Other than that ( if you are not looking for hyper-accuracy) this is an amazing helmet.

here is an image of the one I had on my display:

I'd take a super accurate lid, but it's not keeping me up at night. That JMC looks great even if it's basically a fan cast/mod to a DPDLX. Great pic man!

Thanks! I gotta say it was an awesome helmet to own and the only reason I let it go was to make room for two other super accurate helmets that were on their way to my collection. Almost regret selling it.

I asked Andrea about their Vader Helmets, and this is her reply.

Hi Craig

We don't at the moment, we made a few a couple of years ago but we never stuck at it, they take a while to make.
With the orders we have on at the moment we wouldn't be able to fit them in.
I will mention it to the guys and let you know the outcome.

Kind regards,

Andrea.

...me thinks I won't hear back from her in a while. They are rather swamped trying to get those Biker Helmets out the door.

Think I'd pass on the RS lid. Will look forward to seeing one from Sskunky though!

Good decision. You can't go wrong with Marks work and at least you know to get a helmet based on a real 20th Century :) I still doubt what RS one has is a real one.

Dimensionally, the 20th Century is a touch on the smaller and slender side but can provide the basis of an attractive helmet.
