I can't recall seeing this discussed elsewhere so if I've missed it I apologize. We all know that certain greeblie pieces were available in large quantities and used on a multitude of props and set pieces. There is a thread over at the RPF where member MonCal is building a full scale Landspeeder and was asking for help identifying greeblies on the 'Speeder's dashboard one of which looks very much to me like Vader's tusk tip made by Michell Engineering.

I've borrowed the pics from the thread so we can see:

I've replied within the thread citing that I think it might be a Vader tusk. If it is then it would give us a second set of references for geometry and dimensions as well as a chance to see the actual part next time the Landspeeder is on display.

Anyone care to discuss?

Dave

Very interesting, but the original tusks don't have that "nipple" and I would check the dimensions of this one since it is simple to scale it next to the green/red rectangular buttons of whose dimensions are well known. Then one could scale the originals to that one. It just seems to have a different curvature than original tusks. But still a cool find.

Is that a hengstler counter below the tusk?
Cool pic btw. and great find :thumbsup

If the tusk is made by Michell , it maybe also comes from a turntable.
