I know that it´s not ready up to 100% because I still have to work on the buckle slots and than I have to weather the hole belt up but I would like to hear what you all think about the belt till now.

Greetings Guido

I like your white grill material. It doesn't look like cheap plastic.

Agreed, I'd love to know where you got it.

The whole belt looks great......Russ Rep boxes I assume? Are you going to leave it new looking or weather it?

Nice job!

Ty very much all for the nice words.

@Vadermonkey, I´m very sorry but I also could only give you the same informations as JRX. We know that the mesh is from an old 70th. musik player that´s all we know.

I also got the mesh in a trade for other stuff from a good friend and we all 3 are looking to get the information about name and brand of the player to share the info with all of you.

To the boxes yes these are Russ rep boxes but only the naked boxes all other parts are from different sources and 100% like the original stuff they used on the boxes.

On the weathering yes I think I would do it but to say the truth I´m not 100% sure how to make it the correct way.

Greetings Guido

Looking good GB. Lots of tutorials on several fourms on how to weather, you should have no trouble finding one that will work for you.

Thanks for the info.....it all helps.

As for weathering, there are many good reference shots widely available.

On mine I combined a mix of paint to dull it in areas, sandpaper and good old fashioned scraping the paint with a small screwdriver. I chose the more rough look than latex masking it. I wanted it to look lived in as was George Lucas's original vision before going all symetrical on us.
