That's the same Vader figure at the target.com link that has been out for over 2 years pictured there, that's the left button red at the bottom of the chest box based on ROTS. I know because I have one. There is a Rogue One Vader figure from Hasbro coming out with the cloak over armor. New sculpt.
Pablo Hidalgo who is up on the R1 stuff and the story group, is a Canon consultant for the movies and has visited the R1 set, writes the visual guides and such has said repeatedly on twitter of people complaining about it needing the cloak over armor unlike most of the new pics: "Wait until you see the movie." What I don't get is people think it should be a carbon copy of ANH, when it's not ANH, it's Rogue One. We know it's pretty close to ANH in timeframe but we don't even know how close, it's only rumored that it leads right into it, and even if it does, so what? We've seen they got a lot of the costume looking a lot more like ANH. It's not like Vader can't change his costume out and swap out parts in a matter of hours anyway. He can change his armor and electronic parts, you know? His ESB looked different than ANH starting in 1980. So a change is nothing new.

Well, he's running around all over the universe, so may not have time for breaks... so it may not be a cod piece so much as it is a portable toilet!? :toothy

WOW... did I just go into juvenile territory? :ac10

Over, definitely. I'm assuming that scene is Vader's Dramatic entrance or something. I don't know why but I think it looks awful -- it looks like a scene out of an 80's music video. Either there's too much smoke or not enough or something.

"Greetings Krennic. My enormous codpiece and I are here to discuss the secret weapon..."

Mods--are we gonna combine theses two threads already??? We're discussing this over at the other Rogue One Vader thread too.

Merged.

There will be a lot of double posts and conversations may seem out of whack. Hope you can live with that. If you find one of your own double posts, please edit one with the words "double post" and we, the mods, will go through things and remove those double posts eventually.

Thank you, Carsten!

Back on topic, I'm really excited about the 6" Black Series Vader figure that Hasbro is bringing out. If nothing else comes out of this at least Hasbro finally has something in their product line that is pretty accurate (at least compared with what they have done so far).
