been lurking here for a while and i finally registered and this is my first post.

i've always wondered about whose helmet this is. you guys can certainly see the subtleties that i often miss.

Yes, but I need a picture of one painted up first... or a better frontal picture than what I've seen so far. But there'll be a picture of it on the list soon.

NHM, isn't the DPCA an ESB helmet more than a RotJ? The chin vent is much smaller than a RotJ.

In a sense you are right about the chin vent, but everything else is RotJ. The details on the face and the dome are pure RotJ - or technically... cleaned up and reworked away from anything movie specific, but closest to RotJ look, from what I've seen.

Thanks Karo, it was quite a learning experience! I really like the helmet, and it's pretty much the first one I could ever afford. I keep saying on the RPF, I'm no Vader expert, so whatever inaccuracies there are don't really bother me.

I really like the SPFX helmet, though. That one seems just right to me as far as ANH goes. Which one have you all decided is most true to the original? Is there an agreement on that, or is it all personal preference?

I think it is still down to personal preference. There are those that are more accurate than others, but no top spot taken yet, imo.
