Not missing like "ripped out", rather small "air-pockets" in the Silicone I believe.

One or the other, but I'd say you're right - air pockets due to sloppy mould making.

Anson - I'd just like to add my huge thanks to you for all the photos you're posting!

I'm not a huge poster here and I tend to read a lot more than I write online - I'm so glad you chose to post the photos here and not in the privileged section.

.. I'll gain access there one day but my post count seems to increase at the pace of a speeding glacier!

Those are some really amazing pics you have posted Anson. All of the casting details at all different angles are so well represented. Very very well done! The VP sure is a great looking face isn't it. :as2

Problem is people (especially newer people) tend to believe what they read.
I'll just say that for the record, I disagree with 90% of what is being said in this discussion. If someone is interested in hearing what I have to say about vader helmets, they can speak directly with me.

GINO,

Speaking of repeating and repeating until it becomes "truth"....

For the longest time you've been taking swipes at the TM as being not so authentic, etc. compared with the VP, despite how close things are to the Hi-Def screenshots, and then trumpeting how the VP was superior. Even though the TM is a MASK AND DOME set, you denounced it simply because JRX did some slight restoration work. A mask and dome set that is a snapshot of the original ANH versus a ROTJ mask with much of the original detail sanded down, and yet you can still say the ROTJ mask is superior in accuracy. I've wondered why....

While the VP has been proven to be smaller and of a ROTJ source, you had blasted my thread with your "ROTJ = ESB" misinformation campaign and then went further to say that "size doesn't matter; compare the features intstead" to keep AnsonJames and Sithlord from drawing attention to very important size differences. I've wondered why....

If now the source of your supposedly-more-accurate-than-everyone-else's ANH is basically this ROTJ helmet you've claimed to be of "golden provenance" and "better than the TM", then I have to ask you why you feel repeating misinformation until it becomes truth is right when when you seek to improve the prestige of something in your collection through harming that of others. I've wondered why....

And you had wanted to buy two TMs from vadermania, but couldn't.

Your ANH appears to be so golden in provenance that it is actually nothing more than a ROTJ source that's farther away to the original ANH than the TM.

More power to Anson James if all he has to do is place a GH dome on his VP and achieving the same look as GINO's.

This is how these flame wars between Mac and I start.
What kind of fool am I for extending the olive branch to this guy for the second time now?

GINO,

Remember how you bullied me with your accurate suit?

How you intruded onto my thread to blast me for spreading false information?

Well now things are becoming clear as to why.

I'll tell you what, GINO. I won't say anything more other than this.

If you disagree, post pictures.

Just to clarify: Gino asked me for two casts of just the TM ESB dome alone, NOT the faceplate.

Seven VP were made and then the mould ''snuffed it'' so to speak.
I'll get some more shots in a minute...

Can anyone tell me when the VP master was originally moulded? and possibly when the run of these 7 helmets began and ended?
